be kind.
Kindness has been shown to cause a ripple effect. Research shows if you show kindness to one person, that person will show kindness to four people and those four people will show kindness to four more people and so on. These exchanges of kindness can change the world.
LD Communities That Care, with support from LDHS Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) and the Mental Health Awareness Club, believe in this “be kind” attitude and is preparing to launch a Kindness Initiative focused on intentional acts of kindness in our schools, workplaces and the community. We want to challenge kids of all ages and adults in our community to simply be kind to one another—to be intentionally kind—by offering up a smile, giving a high five, befriending someone new, or in any way you like! Various activities at each school will be held throughout January-May 2025.
